Regarding water quality, tap water should be aired for at least a day before use. It is recommended to change the water every three days, changing only half of it; it is not necessary to change all of it unless the water is extremely dirty.
Regarding feeding, turtles eat in water, so you can add feed directly to the water. Feed them chopped pork, beef, small fish, and shrimp. Avoid pork and beef, as they can affect water quality. Dried shrimp, fish, or turtle food are cleaner and easier to feed. Generally, feed them every three days. A quantity roughly the size of the turtle's head is sufficient. Avoid overly salty foods, such as dried shrimp, fish, or ham. We also don't recommend feeding turtles food we normally eat. Don't feed them too frequently; a turtle can go without food for two weeks without eating.

For a suitable water temperature, a temperature between 25°C and 28°C is ideal—neither too hot nor too cold, like plain water in the summer or the temperature of swimming pools. This temperature is ideal for turtles to live and eat. Avoid warm, hot, or ice-cold water, as these can make them sick. Also, avoid placing them in air-conditioned rooms during the summer, as the temperature swings are too great.

From October to May of each year, when temperatures drop, turtles hibernate and don't wake until the temperature rises. During hibernation, they sleep and don't eat. During this time, move them to a dark, quiet place indoors. Change the water monthly, with the water just above their backs. Don't disturb them, and make sure the temperature doesn't drop below 6°C.
