How to raise pearl turtles? How to feed the flower turtle?
The pearl turtle, also known as the Chinese flower turtle or the long tailed turtle, is a species of the flower turtle genus. In fact, the flower turtle we often mention is the pearl turtle, because pearl turtles are relatively easy to raise, have a gentle personality, and are reasonably priced, so many people are willing to raise pearl turtles.
Pearl turtle is a domestically produced turtle that can be fed with live fish fry, shrimp fry (available in flower and bird fish markets), river fish meat, river shrimp meat, raw chicken, and breadworms. Pork can also be fed, but it should not be used as a long-term staple food. Remember not to feed pearl turtles cooked food, as it is very harmful to them.
Pearl turtles love to sunbathe their backs, so they also spend a lot of time in the sun during the day. Long term indoor feeding should be equipped with heating rods. If kept in an outdoor pond, they can also withstand slightly colder temperatures, but they still need to return indoors in winter because pearl turtles do not need to hibernate. Mature pearl turtles also have good water properties, so it doesn't matter at all what water depth they are raised in.

The juveniles of pearl turtles can be fed with insects, blood worms, shrimp skin, turtle food, and fish and shrimp meat. The mature tend to be herbivorous and can also be fed aquatic plants or leafy vegetables.
